Mothers' day crap

In the paper today there's a brochure from Myer with a Mothers' day theme. I guess that once you become a mum your interests turn to pastel sweaters and overpriced packs of 'exclusive' cosmetics. I suppose I shouldn't be so scathing, but it was the female equivelent of getting ties and socks for Fathers' day. So, dads (and grown-up kids, too, I guess), use a bit of imagination... It doesn't need to be expensive, just something she would like. Perhaps a book, but definitely not a vacuum cleaner! And, as I always tell my brother-in-law, you can't go wrong with jewellery. (J, this is not a hint to you! You always buy great presents!)
